Single-use plastic containers for recreational and medical cannabis flower, concentrates, edibles and vape cartridges are produced and discarded in record time and numbers.
Fifty percent (50%) of all plastic produced (approx. 380 million tons) is for single-use purposes - used for minutes and thrown away. Less than 9% of all plastics actually get recycled.
10 million tons of this plastic waste are dumped in our oceans annually, killing an average of 1 million fish and marine animals per year. By 2050, there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish.*
It is far too easy to say that the problem of plastic waste is out of our control or beyond the reach of our means.
Canna-Conscious Containers was founded on the belief that recreational cannabis users and medical cannabis patients alike are inherently eco-friendly and environmentally-minded. We are conscious of our environment and our individual impact upon it.
We are (happy) campers, hikers, travelers, runners, skiers and snowboarders. We are members of Protect Our Winters and love summer too! At home, we compost veggie scraps as part of the Denver Compost Collective. On the trail, we pick up what others left behind. Our internal processes reflect the same reduce, reuse, recycle philosophy; utilizing reclaimed packaging materials previously used in the cannabis industry.

Cannnabis consumers and medical cannabis patients alike; you have a positive, almost symbiotic relationship with the plant.
Become a Conscious Consumer and help us reduce, reuse and recycle plastic cannabis containers that would otherwise jeopardize our environment and wildlife.
If you are a visitor or lifetime resident of Colorado, you appreciate our vast natural resources, and the trail-blazing legal market we've established. Help us safeguard our environment and natural resources while setting the example as responsible consumers.
In return, participating dispensaries (Conscious Vendors) will offer you:
Together, as conscious-minded cannabis consumers, we can help reduce, reuse and recycle plastic materials that will otherwise mean the end of the things we care about most.
We derive such positive benefit from the plant -- one of our natural resources. Our heavy reliance upon single-use plastic containers, to meet regulatory requirements, is incredibly detrimental to the environment."Cannabis containers" are not recycled like other plastic containers. Improper discarding of these containers or flat out littering is further destroying our environment. In Colorado, as in every state, our outdoors and natural resources are our most precious assets.
